Good-Karma Rite · Right Union
🪷缘起
On marriage, Buddhism sees a bond born of wholesome karma. The Sigālovāda Sutta (善生経) teaches the duties of husband and wife: "A husband should honour and provide for his wife in five ways; a wife should respect her husband in five ways." A right union rests on mutual respect and shared practice, not external charms.
☸️功德利益
A marriage rite aims to purify the heart with scriptures, plant wholesome connections, and dedicate toward meeting a person of kindred character; for those already partnered, it deepens tolerance and gratitude. The aim is a "right connection," not grasping—meeting each other with compassion.
🕯️仪轨
Rite: set a Guanyin / Cundi shrine, recite the holy name, chant the Heart Sūtra or Cundi mantra with dedication, and light a harmony lamp. Join a temple group or recite at home daily—self-cultivation and kindness matter more than quick results.
💬答疑
Q: Will the rite surely bring the right person? A: Connection depends on karma and heart. The rite is a supporting condition that clears the mind and plants good causes; it cannot run the relationship for you. A good union comes more from your own kindness, responsibility and way of relating.
