🪷缘起

The lotus is Buddhism's supreme symbol: the Avataṃsaka says 'like the lotus untouched by water'; the Amitābha Sūtra speaks of lotus-birth in purity. Lotus-carved bodhi means 'out of mud, unstained, every thought pure.'

🔮寓意

Lotus means 'pure, unstained, blooming.' Wear to keep a renunciate heart amid affairs; recall 'a pure mind, a pure land.'

Bodhi or jade carved lotus beads, seed-pod, plaque; bracelet, pendant, 108 mala.

💬答疑

Q: Why supreme? A: The lotus blooms pure from muddy water—just as awakening appears within affliction; thus Buddhism's first emblem.
