🪷缘起
Avalokiteśvara, 'the one who hears the cries of the world,' is taught in the Lotus Sūtra (Chapter on Avalokiteśvara) and the Heart Sūtra. Mount Putuo is his Chinese home; he answers every call with compassion.
🔮寓意
Avalokiteśvara means 'boundless compassion.' Wearing his image softens the heart, meets others with empathy, dissolves conflict.
📿形制
Holds a vase and willow or a lotus mudrā; many faces and arms (Four-Armed form for four actions); jade, silver, wood, copper.
