Guardian Buddha · Mañjuśrī (Rabbit)
🪷缘起
Mañjuśrī, 'Gentle Glory,' is the bodhisattva of transcendent wisdom, taught in the Mañjuśrī Paripṛcchā Sūtra and the Avataṃsaka Sūtra. He wields the flaming sword that cuts ignorance and rides a lion of fearless eloquence; Mount Wutai is his sacred mountain.
🔮寓意
In Chinese custom the Rabbit is guarded by Mañjuśrī. The sword severs delusion; the lion proclaims truth without fear. Wearing it recalls clear, wise action over hesitation.
📿形制
Holds a sword and a scripture scroll, rides a lion or forms the teaching mudrā; cast in copper, silver, wood, crystal.
💬答疑
Q: Does wearing Mañjuśrī guarantee study success? A: Mañjuśrī stands for wisdom through learning; the image reminds one to study rightly, not a substitute for effort.
