The Bodhi Seed is famed for its smoothness of skin, texture and eye formation. It is said that the Bodhi seed is enlightened and therefore referred as an "Enlightened Seed". Making it very useful for those who are on the path to attaining enlightened. Contrary to popular belief, bodhi seeds are from a tree related to the Rudraksha, called the Elaeocarpus Ganitrus, and not the actual Bodhi tree. The bodhi tree produces small seeds which are inside a tiny fig. These seeds are too small to be used for making malas.
This Nepali Mala was made in Nepal with authentic Nepali bodhi seeds and strung with durable yellow rope, guru bead and tassels.
